I have worked in the area of epigenetics for more than 20 years. I have worked extensively with epigenetic mechanisms and methodologies and contributed to the understanding of the role of DNA methylation in cancer and reproductive health. Recently, I have focused on how environmental factors, such as diet, may perturb epigenetic modifications resulting in an increased susceptibility to chronic disease later in life.

Current research includes: the role of micronutrients and epigenetics in the placenta, the use of DNA methylation as biomarkers for predicting disease, adverse environments and impact on future health and novel plant extracts for human health.
